The National Academy of Medicine was founded back in 1864 to bring together the medical and academic community with the objective of constantly searching for solutions to improve the health and needs of the Mexican population. The institution has remained vigorous and active throughout its 150 years of existence. Today it counts with 600 members actively involved in advising public healthcare authorities on public health policies, scientific development and medical education.
