LKPP’s acronym refers to the National Public Procurement Agency and it is a governmental institution that was established back in 2008. LKPP’s main mandate is to reform the current procurement model in several industries, which represents a relevant percentage within the total state budget, towards a more efficient and transparent as well as reliable system.
In this sense, it has four strategic underpinnings to support its mission: regulatory, education, IT, and integrity. It creates detailed and solid procurement regulation to avoid any misunderstanding, it educates all government officials to successfully implement its procurement programs, it empowers the usage of technology in its activities, and it ensures that all the three aforementioned guidelines are aligned towards a more efficient, transparent and reliable procurement system.
