KPMG in South Africa goes to market by line of business or industry, serving all of the key sectors across our economy. This focus allows our professionals to understand our clients’ needs rapidly, within the context of their specific business and the broader sector in which they operate. Our people consequently enjoy the growth opportunities that such an environment affords.
KPMG has 12 offices in South Africa, comprising our national office in Johannesburg and regional offices in Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Durban, East London, Nelspruit, Pietermaritzburg, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria and Secunda. With over 3,400 staff and more than 230 partners, we are one of the largest Audit, Tax and Advisory firms in the country.
KPMG in South Africa is owned by South Africans, headed up by a democratically elected Board. The Board elects the Chairman and the Chief Executive, who in turn appoints his/her Executive Committee.
We are proud to be South Africans, operating in the global marketplace. Our passion for the country, Transformation (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) and the upliftment of our communities is self-evident.
We also played a pivotal role in bringing a number of our African national practices (including South Africa) together under a separate legal entity – KPMG Africa Limited to allow for seamless operational integration. Our Chief Executive, Trevor Hoole, is the Senior Partner of KPMG in South Africa.
KPMG in South Africa also plays an active role in KPMG’s global network. Roughly 40 professionals from the South African firm have active roles on international KPMG bodies – across the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMA) region and at a global level. With direct representation on KPMG’s International Board and International Council, as well as numerous international committees, working groups and networks, the South African firm is well positioned to think globally and act locally.
