Takeda is a Japanese pharmaceutical company founded in 1781. It is the largest pharmaceutical company in Asia and one of the top 10 largest pharmaceutical companies in the world by revenue following the acquisition of Shire.
Takeda established an affiliate in the Czech Republic in 1994, but its products have been available on the Czech market since 1969.
In the Czech Republic, Takeda builds on the activities of Byk Gulden and ALTANA Pharma, which over time became part of Nycomed and subsequently Takeda.
Takeda’s medications in the Czech Republic help patients with gastroenterological and oncological diseases, heart and blood vessel diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis, insomnia, pain management and comprehensive care tissue.
Takeda is a member of the Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Industry (AIFP)
